It's almost that time of year again greeks! Greek life has been starting to discuss rush for next semester, spring 2013. For anyone who doesn't know, rush is a process when rushees(usually freshman or sophomores) get to meet all the different sororities and fraternities. Different organizations start planning early for possible rush themes. Dorm storm, which is coming up in November, is when sororities go to each dorm and anyone who is interested can get information on rush. Don't know if joining a sorority or fraternity is for you? That's okay, no one ever really knows until you try it! Towards the end of the fall 2012 semester , different organizations host events for rushees to attend. Alpha Sigma Tau, one of Bloomsburg's national sororities, hosts a holiday party every December. All girls are invited and it is a great way to meet some of the sisters. Sigma Sigma Sigma, another national sorority, does a winter social for any girls interested in rush. There are many ways that greeks get ready for recruitment. It's that time of year to start planning! You can always go to greek life if you want to learn more about what rush is about.
